The Assistant Labor Coordinator is responsible for a variety of administrative duties, including managing employee records, coordinating pre‑employment and on‑the‑job safety requirements, tracking terminations, and administering union wage rates. The role ensures accuracy in the entry and maintenance of the scheduling software application while also managing the initiation of required onboarding and off‑boarding paperwork. Responsibilities include the entry and maintenance of employee certifications, tracking expirations and renewals, overseeing continuing education requirements, and providing detailed reports to trade bureaus. Acting as the primary point of contact for unions, the position addresses inquiries and manages union‑related matters for their members. Additionally, the role administers the target money process, which involves submitting necessary information and documentation and collecting target funds. It requires processing and preparing professional, error‑free paperwork and correspondence, including weekly and monthly HR reports. Providing exceptional customer service to employees and managers seeking labor coordination information or assistance is a key aspect of the position.
Ahern will make the most of your Associate/Bachelor’s Degree or combination of education and experience. You can stand out above other candidates by having prior labor coordination experience, including labor/union agreements in the construction industry. Candidates must have excellent communication, a collaborative mindset, a high level of detail orientation and organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced work environment with multiple projects going on simultaneously.
