Houlihan’s Restaurant & Bar in Overland Park, KS, seeks an Assistant Kitchen Manager to support the Executive Chef, supervise culinary staff, and ensure consistency, quality, and food safety during daily service.

You will assist in menu execution, staff training, and maintaining high culinary standards in a fast-paced setting; this role emphasizes leadership and cost awareness with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in kitchen management in a full-service, high-volume setting.
• Strong knowledge of back-of-house operations, staff supervision, inventory, cost control and product quality.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
• Stable work history with a solid work ethic; culinary program graduate is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure excellence in guest satisfaction with a hands-on, lead-by-example management style.
• Assist the Executive Chef in managing back-of-house staff through training and follow-up.
• Help achieve budgeted labor and cost targets through planning and execution.
• Oversee weekly/monthly inventories and ordering of food and supplies.
• Maintain sanitation and work area organization in compliance with OSHA standards.
