Job summary

Green Mill Restaurant & Bar in St. Cloud, MN is seeking an Assistant Kitchen Manager to support the Kitchen Manager with back-of-house operations, staffing, training, and inventory control.

You will help ensure high food quality, uphold sanitation standards, and assist with portion and cost management while supervising line cooks. This role reports to the Kitchen Manager and offers room for growth, competitive salary, quarterly bonus potential, medical benefits, paid vacation, meal discounts,

Qualifications

• 2+ years line cooking experience in a full-service restaurant.
• Leadership/management experience preferred.
• Understanding of cost of goods and labor management.
• Ability to maintain sanitation standards and safety protocols.
• Ability to work nights, weekends and some holidays.
• Must have food service sanitation certificate.

Responsibilities

• Implements and maintains high food quality and consistency.
• Upholds sanitation and cleanliness standards and requirements.
• Oversees training of new kitchen staff and maintains a positive work environment.
• Provides clear direction and respectful supervision to the team.
• Ensures menu items are prepared per recipes, portions, and standards.
• Assists Kitchen Manager with portion, cost, inventory control and ordering.
