Job summary

The Sicilian Butcher Texas is seeking a hands-on Assistant Kitchen Manager to support the Kitchen Manager in delivering exceptional Italian-inspired cuisine in a fast-paced, guest‑driven environment. You will lead line cooks, enforce safety and quality standards, train staff, manage inventory and assist with menu execution, with opportunities for growth within our expanding restaurant group.

Qualifications

Experience: Minimum 3 years of high-volume, full-service restaurant management experience.
Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage a diverse team.
Proficient in cooking techniques and kitchen safety standards.

Responsibilities

Assist the Kitchen Manager in planning and directing food preparation and kitchen operations.
Ensure recipes are followed to maintain consistency and quality.
Train cooks and kitchen staff on food preparation, techniques, and presentation standards.
Monitor staff training processes and review progress with trainers.
Lead quality control, food safety, and compliance with safety guidelines.
Supervise and coordinate kitchen activities to maintain productivity and cleanliness.
Oversee inventory, ordering, and storage to control costs and minimize waste.
Maintain back-of-house cleanliness and equipment safety.
Step in to manage operations when the Kitchen Manager is unavailable.
Collaborate with upper management to achieve operational goals and guest satisfaction.
