POSITION OVERVIEW

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager to join our team at Chasing Aces, a premier golf entertainment venue in the heart of Shreveport. The Assistant Kitchen Manager will support the Kitchen Manager in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring quality food preparation, and maintaining food safety standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Kitchen Operations:
  • Assist in managing daily kitchen operations, ensuring an efficient workflow and timely food preparation.
  • Support menu updates in collaboration with the Kitchen Manager and RealFood leadership.
  • Maintain recipe consistency and quality by following standardized guidelines.
  • Ensure cost cards and inventory trackers remain accurate with price changes.
Team Management:
  • Assist in training and mentoring kitchen team members to foster a positive work environment.
  • Help manage team schedules to ensure proper staffing levels.
  • Provide feedback and coaching under the direction of the Kitchen Manager.
Food Quality & Safety:
  • Monitor food preparation and presentation to uphold high-quality standards.
  • Support compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations by conducting regular inspections.
  • Assist with inventory control, ordering, and proper storage of ingredients to minimize waste.
Financial Management:
  • Help manage food and labor costs in alignment with budgeted financial targets.
  • Track kitchen expenses and assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Maintain supplier relationships by ensuring timely ordering and deliveries.
Customer Service:
  • Work closely with the front-of-house team to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Address food-related concerns promptly to uphold guest experience standards.
  • Assist in fulfilling large party and event requests in coordination with the Sales and Marketing Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a kitchen supervisory role, preferably in a high-volume environment.
  • Strong teamwork and leadership skills.
  • Good organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen best practices.
  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment, cooking techniques, and inventory management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for delivering high-quality food and service.

Working Conditions
