Job summary

Inspired Education LLC is seeking a full-time Assistant Infant Teacher at our Vernon Township, NJ center, Discovery Years. You will support curriculum planning and daily activities for infants, while building warm relationships with families and colleagues.

Collaborating with the Lead Infant Teacher, you will help maintain a safe, engaging environment that supports early learning and development. CPR/First Aid certification is expected within 30 days.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of infant curriculum and activities, ensuring alignment with our comprehensive early childhood education program
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with infants, toddlers, and their families, fostering a sense of trust and rapport
• Collaborate with the Lead Infant Teacher to create a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment that promotes cognitive, social, and emotional growth
• Implement and enforce center policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with state and national standards
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices and stay up-to-date on best practices in early childhood education

Requirements:

• 1+ years of experience as an early childhood educator (with potential on-the-job training provided)
• High school diploma or equivalent; early childhood education and/or child development coursework a plus
• Ability to lift and carry children, as well as supplies and equipment, up to 50 pounds
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, families, and colleagues
• First aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within the first 30 days of employment)
