Job summary

The LINE Hotels in Austin seeks an Assistant Housekeeping Manager to lead daily housekeeping operations, manage staff, and collaborate with the Housekeeping Manager to meet service and financial goals.

The role requires strong communication, budget awareness, and a proactive approach to guest satisfaction, safety, and standards. Bilingual English-Spanish is preferred and payroll control experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Three (3) years related experience in hospitality or service industry preferred.
• Strong communication skills essential.
• Bilingual (English-Spanish) preferred.
• Experience with payroll control and scheduling required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain courteous, professional demeanor at all times.
• Establish and maintain good communications with colleagues and other departments.
• Adhere to standards of operations, policies and procedures.
• Maintain open door communication with employees.
• Assist in interviewing, training, guiding, managing and scheduling personnel.
• Participate in developing processes and standards supporting service and financial goals.
• Monitor housekeeping staff for prompt check-in and guest satisfaction.
• Ensure staff are trained on systems, security procedures, and service standards.
• Inspect rooms and public spaces to uphold cleanliness.
• Determine staffing levels for forecasted business; schedule accordingly.
• Track inventory and disbursement of linens, supplies, etc.
• Supervise laundry operations or outsourced relationships.
• Coordinate room availability with Front Office Manager.
• Ensure work is accurate and follows standards; explain job expectations.
• Seek to understand guest needs and meet company requirements.
• Be familiar with safety and emergency procedures including OSHA.
• Attend relevant meetings.
