Witham Family Hotels is seeking a Full-Time Year-Round Assistant Housekeeping Manager for the Hampton Inn Ellsworth. You will assist the Housekeeping Manager with daily operations, lead and coach the housekeeping team, and help maintain the high standards expected across guest rooms and public areas.

This hands-on leadership role requires strong communication and organizational skills to manage schedules, inspections, and daily department needs in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel housekeeping experience required.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform the physical duties of the position.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Housekeeping Manager with daily operations of the housekeeping department.
• Lead, train, coach, and support housekeeping team members.
• Assist with creating schedules and adjusting staffing based on occupancy and business needs.
• Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and presentation meet standards.
• Follow up on room deficiencies and address issues promptly.
• Coordinate daily assignments to ensure rooms are ready for arriving guests.
• Monitor supplies, linens, and equipment; communicate inventory needs.
• Maintain proper cleaning procedures, safety standards, and sanitation practices.
• Respond to guest requests and concerns professionally and promptly.
• Communicate with Front Desk and other departments regarding room status and requests.
• Assist with training new team members and reinforcing standards.

Are you an experienced hospitality professional who enjoys leading a team and takes pride in creating clean, comfortable spaces for guests? We’re seeking a Full-Time Year-Round Assistant Housekeeping Manager to join our team at the Hampton Inn Ellsworth.

In this role, you’ll work closely with the Housekeeping Manager to oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department and help ensure our guest rooms and public areas consistently meet Hampton Inn and Witham Family Hotels standards. You’ll support the housekeeping team through training, coaching, inspections, scheduling, and day-to-day operations while helping create a positive and productive work environment.

This is a hands-on leadership position that requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and the ability to keep things running smoothly in a fast-paced hotel environment. Position Details:

Status: Full-Time, Year-Round
Hours: Approximately 40 hours per week; shifts vary and may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Key Responsibilities:

• Help coordinate daily assignments and ensure rooms are cleaned and ready for arriving guests
• Monitor housekeeping supplies, linens, and equipment and communicate inventory needs to the Housekeeping Manager
• Assist with maintaining proper cleaning procedures, safety standards, and sanitation practices
• Respond to guest requests and concerns in a professional and timely manner
• Communicate with the Front Desk and other departments regarding room status, maintenance needs, and guest requests
• Assist with training new team members and reinforcing hotel and departmental standards
• Help maintain a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment
• Step in and assist with housekeeping duties as needed to support the team
• Assist the Housekeeping Manager with administrative tasks, reports, and other departmental needs

• Previous hotel housekeeping experience required
