Witham Family Hotels' Hampton Inn Ellsworth is seeking an experienced Assistant Housekeeping Manager to join our on-site team. You will partner with the Housekeeping Manager to lead daily operations and uphold our high cleanliness standards for guest rooms and public areas.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel housekeeping experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Housekeeping Manager with daily operations of the housekeeping department.
• Help lead, train, coach, and support housekeeping team members.
• Assist with creating schedules and adjusting staffing based on hotel occupancy and business needs.
• Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and presentation meet hotel standards.
• Follow up on room deficiencies and work with the housekeeping team to address issues promptly.
• Help coordinate daily assignments and ensure rooms are cleaned and ready for arriving guests.
• Monitor housekeeping supplies, linens, and equipment and communicate inventory needs to the Housekeeping Manager.
• Assist with maintaining proper cleaning procedures, safety standards, and sanitation practices.
• Respond to guest requests and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
• Communicate with the Front Desk and other departments regarding room status, maintenance needs, and guest requests.
• Assist with training new team members and reinforcing hotel and departmental standards.
• Help maintain a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment.
• Step in and assist with housekeeping duties as needed to support the team.
• Assist the Housekeeping Manager with administrative tasks, reports, and other departmental needs.

In this role, you’ll work closely with the Housekeeping Manager to oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department and help ensure our guest rooms and public areas consistently meet Hampton Inn and Witham Family Hotels standards. You’ll support the housekeeping team through training, coaching, inspections, scheduling, and day-to-day operations while helping create a positive and productive work environment.

Position Details

Status: Full-Time, Year-Round
Hours: Approximately 40 hours per week; shifts vary and may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
