Crowne Plaza Hotel - Louisville Airport is seeking an Assistant Housekeeping Manager to support the Housekeeping Operations Manager in supervising the Housekeeping, Laundry and Public Areas teams, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction while promoting integrity and teamwork.

Responsibilities include hiring, coaching, training and evaluating staff; maintaining safety and sanitation procedures; coordinating breaks, shifts and assignments; and monitoring guest feedback

Qualifications

• 2 years’ experience as a manager in hospitality
• Bilingual English/Spanish highly desired; excellent communication skills verbally and written
• Experience working in the Housekeeping department of high-volume property
• Knowledge in basic sanitation and safety compliance requirements, including chemical handling and disposal
• Provide legible communication
• Detail oriented in performing job functions with speed and accuracy
• Easily adapts to change with a positive attitude
• Ability to prioritize and organize tasks
• Ability to follow specific directions thoroughly

Responsibilities

• Aid in hiring for the Housekeeping Department by interviewing qualifying candidates
• Assist in annual performance appraisals; counsel employees on improvements
• Maintain documentation of terminations, coaching or evaluations in personnel files
• Assist in training and development of Housekeeping staff
• Monitor industry trends and technology to maximize revenue and maintain competitive position
• Oversee cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned areas
• Address guest complaints and feedback to maintain satisfaction
• Coordinate breaks and assign shifts; ensure accurate records
• Ensure compliance with departmental policies and standards
• Inspect rooms, corridors, public areas, and service areas for quality and safety
• Report maintenance work orders and coordinate with other departments
• Complete paperwork and close assignments with supervisor
• Perform other duties as assigned
