Job summary

Waypoint Maine, Inc. is seeking an Assistant House Manager to support the House Manager in day-to-day operations of residential programs for adults with developmental disabilities. The role involves mentoring staff, coordinating scheduling, and ensuring safety and compliance in a team-driven setting.

Starting rate is $17.50 per hour for a non-exempt, hourly position. The role requires a high school diploma, a valid Maine driver’s license, and proficiency in English.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing English.

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly fire drill and documentation according to licensing and policies.
• Complete Home Monthly Checklist and submit to supervisor by the 8th of each month.
• Ensure completion of Monthly Med Room and MAR Review and submit to House Manager.
• Support staff by coordinating required training needs and assisting in scheduling.
• Assist with staff scheduling in the home (excluding overtime approvals).
• Follow all agency policies, procedures, and safety practices and attend Safety Committee meetings.
• Assist in monitoring facility for repairs and report concerns promptly; maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Help maintain inventory levels and monitor vehicle maintenance; schedule services as needed.
• Coordinate residents’ appointments and follow up on recommendations; document outcomes.
• Assist with payroll-related data collection and timecard approvals by staff.
• Support in New Employee In-Home Orientation for new hires.
