Collegiate Hotel Group, owner/operator of the Graduate by Hilton Ann Arbor, is seeking an Assistant Housekeeping Manager to lead a team of hospitality professionals. You will schedule room and cleaning assignments, supervise housekeeping staff, and ensure Brand standards are consistently met.

You'll coach, counsel, and develop associates, inspect rooms for quality, coordinate with maintenance, and monitor time and attendance to align guest service with financial goals. Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; post-secondary education preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of in-housekeeping leadership experience.

Collegiate Hotel Group®, is seeking an Assistant Housekeeping Manager to join the Graduate by Hilton Ann Arbor and its brilliant team of hospitality enthusiasts

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Schedules room and cleaning assignments to ensure proper coverage
• Performs all housekeeping duties necessary, including making beds, vacuuming, and cleaning
• Verifies and updates status of discrepant rooms throughout the shift
• Randomly selects assigned rooms to ensure cleanliness and inspects them to verify brand standards are being met.
• Coach, counsel, and provide corrective action to housekeeping associates on performance not meeting expectations and discrepancies found in rooms
• Notifies GM and/or Chief Engineer of maintenance repairs necessary in rooms or on property
• Interviews, hires, develops, and disciplines direct employees
• Perform property walk and report identified deficiencies
• Participates in scheduling employees to business demands and tracking employee time and attendance
• Supervises staffing levels to ensure that guest service, operational needs, and financial objectives are met
• Manages Housekeeping inventory, ensuring that team has dedicated tools, supplies, and resources to complete assigned tasks and work.
• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma/GED. Post high school education preferred
• Minimum of 2 years inhousekeeping leadership experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Basic math skills
• HMSand/or experience using a property management system (PMS)
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Strong leadership skills
• Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members
