Job summary

MDH Network in Whittier, CA is seeking an Assistant Home Supervisor to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities at home and in community settings. This full-time role involves guiding staff, promoting health and safety, and ensuring care plans are followed.

The position offers a mixed schedule, with hours early mornings and some evenings, and a pay range of $21.00–$24.50 per hour plus benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; minimum 18 years old.
• One year of relevant experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, behavioral challenges, dual diagnoses, or forensic involvement in an adult residential facility.
• Valid driver’s license and California automobile insurance; ability to drive to community locations (a company vehicle may be available with a 21+ age requirement).
• Ability to read, write, and speak English. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Back up the Home Supervisor by guiding, mentoring, and supporting staff to achieve Individuals’ personal goals and ensure health and safety.
• Act as a role model to promote team collaboration on cleanliness, safety, and security of the home; assist with medication administration, documentation, and storage as needed.
• Participate in required training, team, and company meetings; promote internal advancement within the organization.
• Coach others in demonstrating the company’s CARE values (Compassion, Adaptability, Respect, and Empowerment) and receive ongoing coaching and feedback.

Overview

Join a family-oriented company providing services to intellectually and developmentally challenged adults in their homes and communities. The role supports individuals in daily routines and recreational activities and leads home staff to ensure health, safety, and personal goals aligned with each Individual Service Plan.
