Movement in Plano is seeking an Assistant Gym Director to lead operations, staff and member experience in a fast-paced fitness and climbing environment.

You will recruit, train, and supervise team members, ensure top-tier customer service, manage front-desk operations, and uphold our core values while coordinating with the Gym Director. A strong player with retail/ops background will thrive here.

Qualifications

• Incredible customer service skills, attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Excellent administrative abilities and comfort with computer work.
• Strong leadership and the ability to communicate team goals.
• Experience in retail, instruction, and operations.
• Ability to build and lead a high-performance team.
• Self-directed with a clear vision and execution.
• Familiar with organizational tools including MS Office and POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to staff in alignment with mission, vision and values.
• Hire, train, and schedule staff.
• Mentor and manage staff.
• Oversee delivery of excellent front-line customer service.
• Connect with diverse community groups.
• Lead and influence through collaboration and change management.
• Handle financial reporting, deposits, and payroll tasks.
• Resolve membership questions.
• Serve as a shift supervisor on a rotating schedule.
• Work 1-2 desk shifts per week, including evenings and weekends.
