Job Description

The Assistant Guest Services Manager responds to a wide variety of guest requests, accurately assesses guest needs, and adds personal recommendations to maximize customer satisfaction. This position works closely with the Guest Services Manager to develop and train the Guest Service Staff.

What Will You Do?

  • Assist in the development and training of the Guest Service Staff.
  • Act as lead on guest requests and concerns.
  • Handle all guest interactions with high hospitality standards, resolve complaints, and assist with inquiries about services, hours, events, and directions.
  • Process packages, faxes, messages, and mail accurately and promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with work rules and standards of conduct.
  • Collaborate professionally with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Maintain updated information on local attractions and activities, establishing contacts with vendors for tickets and reservations.
  • Manage guest luggage and packages.
  • Use software to input special arrangements and ensure accurate billing.
  • Support responsibilities in valet parking and lobby coverage during busy times or absences.
  • Provide troubleshooting for in-room services like Internet and TV.
  • Coordinate with Valet Staff to handle guest vehicles, luggage, and deliveries.
  • Work with the Guest Services Manager to coach and support staff development.
  • Show initiative, solve problems, train staff, and lead teams.
  • Train new and existing employees, supporting skill development.
  • Actively participate in desk shifts to address guest concerns and provide on-the-spot training.
  • Perform other duties as required.

What You Bring

  • High School Degree or equivalent
  • BA in Hospitality preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Project, Outlook, Word, Excel, and Windows
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills

Salary Range

$31.25 - $34.13
