Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) seeks an Assistant Group Supervisor for Department Operations and Infrastructure to lead REDD's Central Operations. You will oversee finance, procurement, facilities, and shared services, aligning resources with department objectives to enable cutting-edge research.

The role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to mentor staff, improve processes, and balance competing priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, management, or a related field.
• 2+ years of progressively responsible leadership experience in operations.
• Understanding of UARC business practices and applicable government regulations.
• Ability to mentor, coach, and develop staff while building relationships.
• Eligibility for U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction for REDD's central operations.
• Oversee financial planning, budgeting, procurement, and facilities.
• Lead a team of business professionals and functional leads.
• Partner with leadership to set operational priorities and resources.
