Benhaven Residential Services seeks an Assistant Manager for a North Haven 6-bed CLA group home. This full-time non-exempt role supports staff, oversees routines, and ensures resident programs meet goals. Schedule includes Tue–Sat shifts; a second site in New Haven and another in Hamden are also listed.

The role requires strong communication, disability experience, and ability to supervise, train, and coordinate staffing. A CT driver’s license and Healthcare-related systems knowledge are needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required with strong communication skills.
• Flexibility to work second shift and weekends; able to do occasional meetings.
• CT driver’s license and reliable vehicle required; background checks pass.

Responsibilities

• Oversees household routines and staff scheduling, including overtime.
• Provides on-site leadership, briefing and de-briefing to staff.
• Trains staff in routines, observes performance and ensures program fidelity.
• Acts as House Manager in absence and supports the manager with staffing.
• Oversees resident programming, behavior plans, and documentation.
• Maintains communication with team members and participates in residents’ meetings.
