Port Huron Elks Golf Club in Port Huron, MI, seeks an Assistant Golf Professional for the 2027 season. This hands-on role supports daily golf operations, tournament management, instruction, and delivers excellent member and guest experiences.

Working with the Head Golf Professional, you’ll oversee pro shop activities, merchandising, events, and club services, gaining broad exposure to private club operations while helping grow a vibrant golf culture.

Qualifications

• PGA Member or registered PGA Associate (or actively pursuing PGA membership) Preferred.
• Experience in golf operations, customer service, and tournament management preferred.
• Strong knowledge of the Rules of Golf, USGA Handicap System, and Golf Genius tournament software.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Proficient with POS systems, tee sheet management, and Golf Genius.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily golf shop operations including tee sheet management, member check-in, sales, and inventory control.
• Coordinate and administer club tournaments, leagues, and special events, ensuring a professional and enjoyable experience for all participants.
• Support and lead instructional programs including private lessons, clinics, junior programs, and ladies' clinics.
• Promote and assist with merchandising, including product displays, sales promotions, and managing stock levels.
• Provide basic club repair services and maintain accurate records of work performed.
• Ensure proper course set‑up, handicap posting, and adherence to club rules.
• Oversee and support outside services, starters, and marshals to deliver high‑quality service standards.

The Port Huron Elks Golf Club - Lodge 343 is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Assistant Golf Professional to join our team for the 2027 season. The club is known for its friendly membership, active tournament schedule, and welcoming community atmosphere. This is a hands‑on position that plays a vital role in daily golf operations, tournament management, instruction, and delivering exceptional member and guest experiences.

The Assistant Golf Professional will work closely with the Head Golf Professional to oversee all aspects of golf operations, including pro shop management, merchandising, event coordination, and member services. This position offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience in all facets of a private club operation while helping drive a vibrant golf culture at Port Huron Elks.
