Job summary

The Quail Golf Club in Carmel-by-the-Sea, CA is seeking an Assistant Golf Professional to support our Golf department. The role focuses on guest reception, event coordination, tee-time reservations, and retail operations on a renowned California course.

Ideal candidates have at least three years of golf course experience, active pursuit of PGA membership, and strong customer service skills for members and guests in a retail setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years golf course experience.
• Current progress or interest towards attaining PGA Membership.
• Ability to interact professionally with members and guests and deliver exceptional customer service.
• Ability to learn and efficiently work in a retail environment including use of a cash register.

Responsibilities

• Organize group outings, special events and tournaments and manage communication between departments to help ensure coordination of activities.
• Act as receptionist to all guests coming in and/or calling the golf shop.
• Assist with coordinating details of golf events (scorecards, proximities, pairings, rules sheet, scoreboard, etc.).
• Reserve tee times for members and outside guests; collect payment for tee times and golf shop retail purchases using the Point-of-Sales system.
• Assist with the cleaning, inventory, and maintaining the golf shop's appearance and merchandise.
