The Quail in Carmel, CA is seeking an Assistant Golf Professional to support our Golf department and deliver exceptional guest experiences on a renowned course.

This role involves coordinating events, acting as receptionist, booking tee times, and handling retail transactions. We offer medical benefits and employee discounts on Lodge, Golf, and Dining services; minimum three years of golf course experience and progress toward PGA membership are preferred.

• Current progress or interest towards attaining PGA Membership.
• Ability to interact professionally with members and guests and deliver exceptional customer service.
• Ability to learn and efficiently work in a retail environment including use of a cash register.

Responsabilidades

• Organize group outings, events and tournaments and coordinate communication between departments.
• Act as receptionist to all guests coming in and/or calling the golf shop.
• Assist with coordinating details of golf events (scorecards, proximities, pairings, rules sheet, scoreboard).
• Reserve tee times for members and outside guests; collect payment for tee times and golf shop purchases using the POS system.
• Assist with cleaning, inventory, and maintaining the golf shop's appearance and merchandise.

Job Description

Working alongside the amazing team at The Quail, we are seeking an Assistant Golf Professional to support our Golf department.

• Work on a renowned golf course located in sunny Carmel Valley, California.
• Learn and grow within a strong golf operation.

Key Accountabilities

• Organize group outings, special events and tournaments and manage communication between departments to help ensure coordination of activities.
• Act as receptionist to all guests coming in and/or calling the golf shop
• Assist with coordinating details of golf events (scorecards, proximities, pairings, rules sheet, scoreboard, etc.)
• Reserve tee times for members and outside guests; collect payment for tee times and golf shop retail purchases using the Point-of-Sales system
• Assist with the cleaning, inventory, and maintaining the golf shop's appearance and merchandise

General Requirements

• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to maintain organization and a positive attitude
• Minimum three years golf course experience
• Current progress or interest towards attaining PGA Membership
• The ability to interact professionally with members and guests and deliver exceptional customer service
• The ability to learn and efficiently work in a retail environment including use of a cash register

Salary: $21.00 - 23.00 per hour
