Job summary

The Quail Lodge & Golf Club in Carmel Valley, California, seeks an Assistant Golf Professional to support the Golf department. This role offers an opportunity to learn and grow within a strong golf operation, on a renowned course with excellent benefits.

Responsibilities include event coordination, guest reception at the golf shop, tee-time reservations, and maintaining shop appearance, with a focus on exceptional customer service and professional interaction with members and guests.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering high-level customer service in a fast-paced golf or hospitality setting.
• Minimum three years golf course experience.
• Current progress or interest towards attaining PGA Membership.
• Ability to interact professionally with members and guests.
• Familiarity with retail/cash handling using a POS system.

Responsibilities

• Organize group outings, events and tournaments and coordinate communication between departments.
• Act as receptionist to guests in the golf shop.
• Coordinate details of golf events (scorecards, proximities, pairings, rules sheet, scoreboard).
• Reserve tee times for members and guests; process payments for tee times and shop purchases using the POS system.
• Maintain golf shop appearance and merchandise, including inventory and cleaning.
