Job summary

The City of New Braunfels is seeking a motivated professional to join the Parks & Recreation Department and support the Golf Programs Group at Landa Park Golf Course. Under supervision, you’ll manage pro shop operations, provide customer service, enforce course rules, and help ensure an exceptional golf experience for all patrons.

Responsibilities include inventory and pricing, tee-time reservations, handicap services, golf instruction for juniors and adults, coordinating events, and mentoring

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university OR minimum 5 years golf course experience.
• Must have passed the PAT level of PGA of America golf management training and be actively working toward PGA membership.
• PGA Class A membership must be obtained within 4 years of date of hire. Valid Texas Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service, hospitality, and professional advice to all patrons.
• Instruct guests in course rules and enforce regulations governing golf course usage.
• Assist in daily Pro Shop operations: inventory, pricing, and merchandise display.
• Manage play, check-in guests, collect fees, and operate the reservation system.
• Assist with handicap services, junior/adult clinics, and golf programs.
• Represent the City at local/regional/national golf events and supervise staff as needed.
