Job summary

Tulsa County is seeking a Golf Course Maintenance Supervisor to oversee a team at South Lakes Golf Course. You will supervise 16–18 staff, plan daily schedules, and ensure premium playing conditions.

You will manage turf care, irrigation needs, and chemical applications to maintain tees, fairways, and greens. Responsibilities include equipment maintenance, budgeting for supplies, staff training, and enforcing safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Education equivalent to graduation from an accredited college with a degree in horticulture, turf management or closely related field.
• Over three years of satisfactory, full-time paid employment in golf course maintenance including one year of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate workers to maintain premium golf course conditions.
• Plan and execute short- and long-term goals for golf course maintenance.
• Write daily work schedules and oversee turf cultivation, grading, seeding, and sodding.
• Inspect turf for mowing height and irrigation needs.
• Hire part-time and seasonal workers and train staff.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities and chemical applications.
• Oversee equipment maintenance and purchases within budget.
• Calibrate sprayers and mix chemicals.
• Comply with safety policies and DOT requirements.
