Job summary

Tulsa County is seeking a golf course groundsworker to maintain grounds, operate tractors and specialized equipment, and perform turf care tasks at the South Lakes golf course. This full-time/part-time role requires bending, lifting, and manual labor in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities include turf mowing, irrigation, fertilizing, landscaping, and assisting with course maintenance. The position emphasizes safety, following detailed instructions, and adherence to county policies.

Qualifications

Completion of the eighth grade and over one year of laborer experience in maintenance/construction.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, memos, and short correspondence.
Ability to write simple correspondence and present information to individuals or groups.

Responsibilities

Maintain grounds and turf to an acceptable playing condition.
Operate tractors and equipment with attachments to till, cultivate, and grade turf areas; apply lime, fertilizer, insecticide, fungicide; mow rough and fairway areas.
Cut turf on greens and tee areas with hand and power mowers.
Attach and operate sprinkler systems to irrigate turf.
Dig, rake, and prepare greens; trim and spray trees; perform other duties as assigned.
