Applegreen is seeking an Assistant General Manager in Park Ridge, NJ to support daily operations across our travel plazas. You will lead the team, coaching non-management associates, ensuring smooth service, and maintaining brand standards.

The role emphasizes leadership, customer service excellence, and adherence to food safety practices while driving sales and guest satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership and management abilities.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to motivate and guide a team to meet brand standards.
• Experience in quick service restaurant or similar operations.
• Flexible with schedules and shifts.
• Ability to lift/push objects weighting over 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and communicate business objectives clearly.
• Supervise day-to-day operations and coach shift supervisors to ensure store performance.
• Step in for the General Manager as needed to maintain smooth operations.
• Motivate staff during low morale and uphold brand standards.
• Maintain cash handling accuracy and inventory accuracy through counts and checks.
• Ensure customer needs are addressed and long-term relationships are built.
• Uphold safety and sanitation practices and ensure compliance with policies.
