Job summary

Populus, part of Crescent Hotels & Resorts, seeks an experienced Assistant General Manager for Stellar Jay on our Denver rooftop dining experience. You will lead daily restaurant and bar operations, develop the team, and drive financial performance while delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Experience in restaurant/bar/hotel management.
• Proven leadership and team development abilities.
• Strong knowledge of restaurant and bar operations.
• Experience with scheduling, payroll, labor management, and timekeeping.
• Understanding of restaurant financials, labor costs, inventory, and cost controls.
• Exceptional guest service and service recovery skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Hands-on leadership and willingness to be on the floor during service.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of Stellar Jay (restaurant, bar, lounge) and guest experiences.
• Maintain a strong leadership presence on the floor during service.
• Ensure consistent execution of service standards, quality, cleanliness, and presentation.
• Monitor business levels and adjust staffing and priorities accordingly.
• Support opening, closing, and daily operating procedures.
