Job summary

Populus at Crescent Hotels & Resorts seeks an experienced Assistant General Manager to lead Stellar Jay, our high-energy restaurant and rooftop bar in Denver. You will drive service excellence, coach a dynamic team, and partner with culinary and hotel leadership to deliver memorable guest experiences.

You will manage scheduling, payroll, and labor optimization while supporting budgeting, forecasting, and operational performance to achieve revenue goals.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality leadership and people development.
• Strong scheduling, payroll, and labor-cost control knowledge.
• Excellent guest service and communication skills.
• Ability to lead a high-volume full-service restaurant or hotel dining operation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Stellar Jay restaurant, bar, lounge operations and guest experiences.
• Lead, coach, and develop Stellar Jay associates and supervisors.
• Create staff schedules based on business levels and events; manage timekeeping and payroll.
• Monitor financials: sales, labor costs, expenses; support forecasting and planning.
• Collaborate with Culinary and hotel leadership to ensure seamless service and standards.
• Maintain safety, sanitation, and alcohol-service compliance; support events and private functions.
• Communicate priorities and updates with leadership and hourly teams.
