Job summary

Populus is seeking an Assistant General Manager for Stellar Jay, Crescent Hotels & Resorts. You will lead our rooftop restaurant and bar, working with the G.M. and F&B leadership to drive daily operations, develop the team, and deliver exceptional guest experiences.

You will oversee service standards, food and beverage quality, and safety while creating a culture of thoughtful hospitality, accountability, and excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a full-service restaurant or high-volume F&B operation.
• Proven leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
• Experience with scheduling, payroll, labor management, and timekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of Stellar Jay, including restaurant, bar, lounge, and guest experiences.
• Maintain a strong leadership presence on the floor during service.
• Ensure service standards, F&B quality, cleanliness, and presentation.
• Monitor business levels and adjust staffing and priorities.
• Lead hiring, onboarding, and training of new associates.
• Coach and develop associates; set clear expectations for performance and teamwork.
• Handle scheduling, payroll, and labor cost controls within policy.
