Job summary

Mike's Red Tacos in Pasadena is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager in leading daily restaurant operations at our Corporate Store & Training Center. You will drive performance in sales, labor, food cost, and guest satisfaction while coaching teams and ensuring brand standards.

This role offers leadership growth opportunities and a clear path toward General Manager as our rapidly expanding brand develops future restaurant leaders.

Qualifications

• 2–4+ years of restaurant leadership experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of restaurant operations, food safety, and guest service.
• Experience leading shifts, coaching teams, and driving accountability.
• Working knowledge of labor management, food cost, and restaurant profitability.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to develop people and build high-performing teams.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus, but not required
• High school diploma required; AA or BA degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager in leading daily restaurant operations
• Drive performance in sales, labor, food cost, and guest satisfaction
• Coach, develop, and motivate team members and Shift Leaders
• Execute and reinforce brand standards across all shifts
• Ensure food safety, sanitation, and operational compliance
• Support hiring, onboarding, and team development efforts
• Monitor guest feedback and drive exceptional guest experiences
• Maintain a clean, organized, and training-ready restaurant environment
• Partner with the Training Team to ensure alignment between training and restaurant execution
• Assume full operational leadership in the absence of the General Manager
