Job summary

Compass Group USA, operating Eurest services at Fort Hood, TX, seeks an Assistant General Manager to oversee dining operations, budget adherence, and client relations. You will lead a team, ensure safety, sanitation, and service excellence across the account, while integrating with facility operations and driving growth.

You will mentor staff, manage food costs, and collaborate with chefs on menu planning. Strong leadership and communication are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
• 5–7 years upscale food service experience, including 1 year multi‑unit management.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills; adaptable to change.
• Supervisory, scheduling, training and coaching abilities.
• Excellent communication and client relations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff in accordance with policies and laws.
• Interview, hire, train and coach employees and managers.
• Participate in meetings and training programs.
• Maintain food cost while upholding quality standards.
• Manage purchasing and inventory controls.
• Know HACCP controls and proper food storage/use.
• Perform related duties and special projects as assigned.
