Job summary

Subway is seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager in Concord, NH to support the General Manager in daily restaurant operations, develop the team, and drive sales and profitability in a fast-paced setting.

This hands-on leadership role covers staffing, training, guest service, food safety, inventory, and financial procedures, with opportunities for advancement within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant leadership or management experience.
• Subway experience is a plus, but not required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to coach, motivate, and hold team members accountable.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager with the overall operation of the Subway restaurant
• Lead, coach, and develop team members to deliver exceptional customer service
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management
• Ensure proper staffing and shift coverage to meet business needs
• Monitor food quality, preparation, portioning, and presentation
• Maintain high standards for cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety
• Follow all Subway brand standards, company policies, and operating procedures
• Assist with inventory management, ordering, receiving, and controlling food costs
• Monitor sales, labor, waste, and other key performance indicators
• Help ensure accurate cash handling and daily financial procedures
• Resolve customer concerns professionally and effectively
• Conduct shift walks and ensure the restaurant is ready for business
• Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for customers and employees
• Step in to manage restaurant operations in the General Manager’s absence
• Perform other duties as needed to support the success of the restaurant
