Metz Culinary Management is seeking an experienced Food Service Manager to serve as the Assistant General Manager of Dining Services. This role requires a strong background in contract dining within institutional settings such as hospitals, universities, or schools.

The Assistant GM oversees front and back of house operations, implements cycle menus, and supervises purchasing, scheduling, and payroll related tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience leading food service operations in contract dining within institutional settings.

• Proven ability to plan menus, control purchasing and manage staff performance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee food service operations both front and back of house.
• Institute cycle menus and recipes for dining services.
• Plan and supervise purchasing, scheduling and bookkeeping.
• Maintain customer and client relations and ensure quality service.
• Direct sanitation and safety programs and train supervisors.
• Manage inventory, ordering and budgeting; ensure cost control.
