Job summary

South Spencer High School seeks an Assistant Softball Coach to support the program with instruction, practice planning, and student-athlete development. The candidate will work to build strong relationships with administration, coaches, and families while promoting education-based athletics.

Responsibilities include coordinating practices, managing equipment, and ensuring safety and compliance with school, conference, and IHSAA rules.

Qualifications

High School diploma.
Able to provide instruction in an education-based environment.
Positive role model.
Coaching experience at the high school level preferred.

Responsibilities

Build relationships with administration, teachers, coaches, student-athletes, parents, and community.
Prepare for and coordinate practices and events; maintain equipment inventories.
Promote education-based athletics with energy and enthusiasm.
Follow the rules of the school, PAC conference, and IHSAA.
Attend coaching clinics and in-service programs to improve coaching skills.
Organize, schedule, and supervise practice sessions.
Supervise facilities and equipment for safety.
Report scores and disseminate team information for publicity.
Represent the school professionally in demeanor and conduct.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director.
