Warsaw Community High School in Warsaw, IN seeks an Assistant Coach for softball on a part-time basis. The role supports the Head Coach and helps maintain a positive program image while guiding student athletes in skill development.

The position emphasizes teamwork, preparation, discipline, and adherence to school and IHSAA policies; duties include practices, games, and administrative tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Playing experience in high school and/or college athletics preferred.
• Previous coaching experience at the high school level or other youth sport levels preferred.

Responsabilités

• Teach skills to athletes for excellent achievement in the program.
• Plan and schedule practices with the head coach.
• Attend all practices and contests as scheduled.
• Attend staff meetings called by the head coach.
• Assist with processing team paperwork and program administration.
• Enforce discipline and sportsmanship; help establish penalties for breaches.
• Support program development at all levels by attending games as designated by the head coach.
• Assist with weight programs, conditioning, facilities, camps, and scouting as designated by the head coach.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors and comply with policies.
