Job summary

Clark’s Oyster Bar, part of MML Hospitality, in Montecito, CA, seeks an Assistant General Manager to lead daily service and guest experiences at a high-volume, upscale concept.

You’ll mentor FOH staff, partner with the GM, manage labor and beverage controls, oversee P&L, and ensure strict standards in dining room, bar, and patio. Requires CA restaurant leadership experience, English fluency, California Food Handler and RBS, and availability for full-time shifts.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of progressive restaurant management experience in California.
• Strong leadership in high-volume, upscale or boutique dining concepts.
• Familiarity with P&L statements, labor scheduling, beverage inventory controls, purchasing, and POS systems.
• English speaking/writing required; Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive Service & Floor Leadership: direct daily floor operations with high-visibility during peak services.
• Lead & Mentor FOH Staff: oversee hiring, training, coaching, and performance management for front-of-house teams.
• Financial & Operational Oversight: manage labor, guest flow, inventory, costing controls, and assist with P&L and related systems.
• Collaborate Across Teams: coordinate with Executive Chef and kitchen for seamless FOH/BOH operations.
• Maintain Standards & Compliance: uphold brand standards, health, safety, and sanitation.
