Job summary

Five Iron Golf is seeking an Assistant General Manager - Social (AGM-S) in Austin to lead the social and guest experience teams. You will coach staff, drive revenue across simulators, food & beverage, and leagues, and oversee events, onboarding, and scheduling.

You’ll ensure service standards, manage costs, and help market local offerings. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in hospitality management, strong leadership, exceptional communication, and a passion for high-energy customer experiences.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hospitality management experience, with at least 1 year as Assistant General Manager or General Manager
• Strong leadership and exemplary communication, time management, and organizational skills
• Upbeat energy, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lead by example
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

• Drive revenue in Simulator Rentals, Food & Beverage, and League sales
• Recruit, hire and train staff; onboard and educate new hires
• Evaluate employee performance to meet daily needs
• Oversee social operations: leagues, rentals, events, facilities, service, and scheduling
• Maintain service standards and manage labor and costs
• Understand P&L and assist local marketing efforts
• Sell and cross-sell products and services with product knowledge
• Engage customers and foster community loyalty
• Oversee guest experiences from pre-visit to post-visit communications
• Ensure health and safety compliance and alcohol service rules
• Collaborate with team to achieve business goals
• Oversee leagues and tournaments across seasons
