Seasons Supermarkets in the New York area seeks an experienced Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager in all aspects of store operations, drive sales, manage labor, and maintain high standards of customer service.

You will lead front-end and department teams, coordinate scheduling and events, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while promoting teamwork and accountability.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of management experience in a large retail or wholesale business.
• Strong leadership, professionalism, and creative problem-solving are required.
• Ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve store and company goals.
• Customer-focused mindset with a track record of delivering service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager in overseeing all areas of store operations, including front end and departments.
• Drive sales performance, control costs, and optimize labor utilization for efficiency.
• Support workforce planning, scheduling, and event coordination to meet business goals.
• Collaborate with department managers to set objectives, monitor performance, and achieve targets.
• Implement weekly sales flyers and in-store merchandising initiatives.
• Maintain sanitation and safety in line with regulations.
• Partner with Corporate Audit on merchandising and presentation standards.
• Communicate with Corporate Liaison regarding employee relations, reviews, and training.
• Promote teamwork, professionalism, and accountability among staff.
• Provide leadership and coaching to ensure top customer service and operational excellence.
• Interact with customers to resolve complaints and enhance the shopping experience.
