Applegreen, a prominent travel plaza operator, is seeking an Assistant General Manager to help the General Manager oversee daily operations and provide entry‑level management experience in a fast-paced venue.

The role focuses on leading teams, delivering performance feedback, coaching shifts, and maintaining excellent customer service while ensuring brand standards and safety procedures are followed.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and align with business objectives.
• Supervise non-management staff, assign tasks, coach, and develop shift supervisors.
• Step in for the general manager when needed and maintain operations.
• Motivate staff, especially during low morale periods.
• Maintain leadership and organizational standards, address issues promptly.
• Ensure policies are followed and brand standards are upheld.
• Keep brand, landlord, and labor relations in good standing.
• Ensure clean, inviting restaurant appearance and correct cash handling.
