Applegreen USA Welcome Centers Central Services is seeking an Assistant General Manager to help the General Manager run daily operations across our Northeast/Midwest travel plazas. You will learn essential management skills, practice judgment and discretion, and lead a team ensuring smooth store operations.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, customer service, and adherence to brand standards, with opportunities for growth and exposure to a busy hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and management skills with proven ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent customer service abilities and positive attitude
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Basic food safety understanding and practice
• Ability and willingness to lift/push objects weighing over 30 Lbs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and clearly communicate business objectives.
• Oversee day-to-day supervision of non-management staff, assign work, and coach shift supervisors.
• Step in during the GM's absence and maintain smooth operations.
• Motivate staff during busy or challenging times and uphold brand standards.
• Ensure cash management, inventory accuracy, and adherence to company policies.
