Applegreen USA is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support daily operations at our travel plazas in the Northeast and Midwest. You will help the General Manager ensure smooth operations, train and mentor staff, and uphold brand standards across the site.

The role emphasizes leadership, customer service excellence, and effective communication to drive performance and guest satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience in quick-service restaurant or similar management operations.
• Strong leadership and management skills with a proven ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude.
• Strong verbal and communication skills with sharp business acumen.
• Flexible and open work schedule.
• Basic food safety understanding and practice.

Responsibilities

• Confidently deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and communicate business objectives.
• Supervise non-management associates, assign work, focus on store performance, coach, and develop shift supervisors.
• Competently perform duties in the absence of the General Manager.
• Motivate and positively influence staff, especially during low morale.
• Demonstrate strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Address issues in a timely fashion.
• Ensure company policies and procedures are followed.
• Maintain awareness of all applicable brand standards and procedures to maximize brand, landlord, and labor relations.
• Maintain the restaurant’s cleanliness, appearance, and brand standards.
• Accurately manage cash and process daily reports as directed.
• Address customer needs, resolve issues, and build positive, long-term relationships.
• Ensure inventory data is accurate through spot counts and checks.
