Applegreen USA Welcome Centers Central Services is seeking an Assistant General Manager in New Jersey to help the General Manager run daily operations. This role offers entry-level management exposure with opportunities to learn judgment and discretion in a fast-paced setting.

You will lead teams, uphold brand standards, manage cash and inventory, and address customer needs to ensure exceptional service and strong store performance.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and management skills with ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent customer service abilities and positive attitude.
• Clear verbal and written communication with sharp business sense.
• Basic understanding of food safety practices.
• Ability and willingness to lift/push objects weighing over 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and communicate objectives.
• Oversee day-to-day operations and coaching of shifts supervisors.
• Step in in the absence of the general manager.
• Motivate staff and maintain morale during challenging times.
• Ensure brand standards and store procedures are followed.
• Maintain accurate cash management and daily reporting.
• Resolve customer issues and build long-term relationships.
• Monitor inventory with spot checks and data accuracy.
