Job summary

The Delegate Restaurant in Washington, DC is seeking an Assistant General Manager who will partner with the General Manager to oversee daily operations and develop a high-performing team. This hands-on leadership role focuses on delivering an exceptional guest experience in a fast-paced setting.

Expect 50–55 hours weekly, evenings and weekends as business needs dictate, with opportunities to grow leadership skills and advance within Thompson Hospitality.

• Proven leadership and managerial experience in the restaurant industry.

• In-depth industry knowledge and financial acumen.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily restaurant operations, overseeing kitchen and FOH for a seamless dining experience.
• Lead, mentor, and develop restaurant staff to deliver top-notch service.
• Ensure service standards and guest satisfaction exceed expectations.
• Manage budgets, control costs and implement strategies to optimize profitability.
• Maintain health, safety, and quality standards for guests and staff.
• Generate KPI reports and provide updates to upper management.
• 50–55 hours per week, including evenings and weekends as required.
