Job summary

Luna Grill is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead daily operations across California restaurants. You will coach teams, manage schedules, and ensure food quality, safety, and customer service excellence while upholding Luna Grill standards and hospitality values.

You’ll drive labor and cost controls, participate in hiring, and serve as Manager on Duty when the GM is away, with opportunities for career growth toward General Manager.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of restaurant management experience in high-volume or fast-casual environments.
• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and people‑development skills.
• Excellent guest service and problem-solving abilities.
• FOH & BOH operations knowledge and hands-on adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations including opening, peak service, and closing procedures.
• Manage BOH staffing and cross-train across positions.
• Coordinate schedules, breaks, and coverage to optimize service and labor.
• Ensure food quality, safety, cleanliness, and Luna Grill standards.
• Coach, train, and develop team members with feedback and performance guidance.
• Assist with payroll, scheduling, inventory, ordering, and reporting.
• Ensure health, safety, sanitation, and policy compliance.
• Address guest concerns promptly with a hospitality-first mindset.
• Support GM with labor and food cost control.
• Participate in hiring, promotions, transfers, and terminations.
• Communicate updates and expectations clearly to the team.
• Serve as Manager on Duty when GM is absent.
