Job summary

Sonic Drive-In in Norfolk, VA is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead daily operations, uphold Sonic standards, and drive guest satisfaction.

You will assist the Managing Partner with training, scheduling, and performance management; handle inventory and food safety; manage cash and expenses.

Requires at least 1 year of AM experience in food service or retail with P&L responsibility, must be 18+, and able to close the restaurant two nights weekly.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience as an Assistant General Manager in food service or retail with P&L responsibility.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Availability to close the restaurant at least two nights a week.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations while upholding Sonic standards and policies.
• Support the Managing Partner by leading the team in training, scheduling, and performance management.
• Manage inventory, ensure food safety compliance, and resolve customer issues promptly.
• Oversee financial responsibilities, including cash handling and expense control.
• Partner with the Managing Partner to drive growth initiatives and protect Sonic’s brand reputation.
