Job summary

JOEY Restaurants in Houston seeks an Assistant General Manager to drive the success of a multi‑million‑dollar restaurant and its people. You will attract, retain, and develop a high‑performing team while executing quarterly strategic goals and upholding top standards of product, profit, environment, and guest experience.

Lead service and kitchen teams, mentor staff, and manage recruitment, training, and coaching to ensure exceptional hospitality and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years leadership experience in a fast‑paced setting.
• Must have or be able to obtain valid local and/or state Food Handler and Alcohol Server/Seller permits.
• Passion for hospitality with a track record of delivering world‑class guest experiences.
• Ability to stand for long periods, perform bending/reaching tasks, and lift up to 50 lbs.

As an Assistant General Manager, you will directly contribute to the overall success of a multi-million-dollar Restaurant and its people. You will efficiently deliver and execute quarterly strategic planning goals while upholding the highest standards in product, profit,environmentand experience.

Duties

• Foster a cohesive and collaborative team environment through exemplary leadership.
• Provide guests with friendly and attentive service throughout their dining experience. Show them what Iconic Hospitality means!
• Resolve service issues and guest complaints with a sense of urgency, poise, and good judgment.It’sYour Business.
• Assistwith managing store sales, budgets, cost of goods, and labor.
• Supervise and guide our service and experience standards and provide impactful coaching as needed.
• Build sales opportunities and positive guest experiences.
• Fulfill recruitment needs, impact positive candidate experience andselectionandretainyour team.
• Support with training and development of technical knowledge and execution.
• Communicate daily focus and feedback to service and kitchen teams.
• Follow all food and alcohol service and handling safety precautions and procedures.

Basic Qualifications

• 1-3 + years leadership experience(If you have high potential but less experience, we still want to meet you!).
• Must have or be able to obtain valid local and/or state Food Handler and Alcohol Server/Seller permits.
• Possess a passion for hospitality and a proventrack recordof creating world-class hospitality experiences.
• Thrivein adynamic,fast-paced work environment.
• Be able towalk andstand for prolonged periods of time; frequent bending, reaching, and stretching; repetitive manual tasks;and liftand carryup to50lbs.
