Job summary

Ontario Trillium Foundation is seeking an Assistant General Manager to develop and operate a profitable restaurant, elevating food quality, service and ambience while fostering creativity and intelligent decision making. The AGM supports the General Manager across sales, growth, cost control and staff development.

You will train and develop employees, build a cohesive management team, lead weekly meetings, monitor guest satisfaction and ensure ongoing adherence to company standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to develop cohesive team of managers and chefs, and lead them toward common goals.
• High level of initiative and drive to build and run a successful operation.
• Create a team atmosphere among staff that is fun and professional.
• Lead by example in all aspects of restaurant management.
• Facilitate weekly management meetings to align on priorities.
• Establish clear communications across all lines within the business.

Responsibilities

• Develop and operate a profitable restaurant with emphasis on food quality, service and ambience.
• Assist the General Manager with sales growth, cost management and staff development.
• Train and develop employees to improve performance and retention.
• Recruiting and hiring of high-quality staff, including managers.
• Oversee operations to ensure standards in FOH/BOH, safety and sanitation.
