Applegreen (US) Welcome Centers is seeking an Assistant General Manager to help the General Manager run day-to-day operations and develop entry-level managers in a fast-paced environment.

You will lead a team, ensure high service quality, manage schedules, and uphold brand standards across multiple locations. This role offers growth opportunities and requires strong leadership and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and management skills with ability to motivate a team.
• Excellent customer service abilities and positive attitude.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills with sharp business acumen.
• 2+ years experience in quick service restaurant or similar management operations.
• Flexible and open work schedule.
• Basic food safety understanding and practice.
• Ability and willingness to lift/push objects weighing over 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and communicate business objectives.
• Supervise non-management associates, assign work, coach shifts, and develop supervisors.
• Be able to perform duties in the absence of the general manager.
• Motivate and positively influence staff, especially during low morale periods.
• Demonstrate strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Address issues in a timely fashion and ensure policies are followed.
• Maintain brand standards and procedures to maximize brand/landlord/labor relations.
• Ensure restaurant looks clean, inviting, and compliant with brand standards.
• Ensure cash management is accurate and reports are delivered as directed.
• Address customer needs and resolve issues to build long-term relationships.
• Maintain inventory accuracy with spot counts and checks.
