Job summary

Wendy's is seeking a motivated Assistant General Manager in Austin, TX to lead the restaurant team and drive exceptional service and sales performance. You will model an engaging, family-friendly culture while achieving operational goals and maintaining strong financial controls.

The role requires 1 year of AGM-equivalent experience, flexible hours (50–55 per week), and a track record of team leadership in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Min 1 year Assistant Manager experience (high volume food service concepts preferred)
• Flexibility to work 50-55 hours per week, rotating shifts including weekends and holidays
• Valid driver’s license in good standing and access to private transportation
• Consent to background screening
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and manage a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Knowledge of food safety and restaurant operations would be a plus

Responsibilities

• Oversee restaurant daily operations under GM guidance
• Maintain day-to-day financial controls
• Create and manage staff schedules
• Interview, hire, train and orientate team
• Oversee coaching, counseling and development of staff
• Ensure proper food handling, equipment maintenance and facility management
• Ensure health and safety inspections and standards are met
• Set the tone for a fun, family environment in the restaurant
