Applegreen is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager and ensure smooth day-to-day operations at our New Jersey locations. This entry-level management role offers a pathway to develop essential leadership, judgment, and discretion skills while delivering strong customer service and store performance.

The role emphasizes supervision of non-management staff, coaching, achieving store KPIs, and maintaining brand standards.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and management skills with proven ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent customer service abilities and positive attitude.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills with a sharp business acumen.
• 2+ years experience in quick service restaurant or similar management operations.
• Flexible and open work schedule.
• Basic food safety understanding and practice.
• Ability and willingness to lift/push objects weighing over 30 Lbs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and communicate business objectives.
• Supervise day-to-day operations and coach shifts supervisors.
• Step in to perform duties in the absence of the general manager.
• Motivate staff, especially during low morale periods.
• Maintain leadership and organizational standards.
• Address issues promptly to protect service quality.
• Ensure policy compliance and brand standards across operations.
• Oversee cash handling, daily reporting, and inventory checks.
