Job summary

Proper is seeking an Assistant General Manager at our Crestwood, MO location. This full-time, non-exempt role supports the General Manager in daily dispensary operations while ensuring compliance with Missouri laws and driving profitability.

Ideal candidates will have leadership experience, 21+ years of age, and a background in retail management. The role includes managing Patient Care Specialists, scheduling, and maintaining relationships with vendors and staff.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Knowledge of Missouri cannabis laws and compliance is required.
• 21+ years of age and valid driver’s license.
• Experience in retail management and customer service preferred.
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and manage staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist General Manager in overseeing daily dispensary operations.
• Develop and manage a team of Patient Care Specialists (budtenders).
• Collaborate with Store Manager to achieve financial and operational goals.
• Ensure compliance with state and local regulations across all processes.
• Oversee inventory, purchasing, and financial reporting.
• Maintain vendor knowledge and monitor industry trends.
• Create weekly staff schedules and manage customer relations.
